Pearl of Great Price

I have created a lot of art to go with my poetry, much of it self-portraiture. It is not easy to put myself out into the world this way.

1. because no one actually sees this

2. because if it’s seen, it is quickly forgotten

3. or misunderstood

the internets have not made connecting with people easier like it has claimed. It has done the opposite. I know I am not the only one that feels this way.

I share so others can know they are not alone. While there is a lot of sadness, grief, loss, longing, and loneliness expressed in my poetry, let it be known, that I am a pretty happy person, doing my best to live a positive full life. It is normal to have all the range of human emotions, and this is my way to reach out and let others they are not alone.
